the art of slowing down
in today’s world, most of us wake up and immediately check our email, messages or social media. even on drives or grocery shopping our mind is constantly being stimulated. it’s usually attaching, analyzing, dissecting, learning, thinking things every second. did you know humans have at least 6,000 thoughts per day? that’s 250 thoughts per hour. one thought after the other. restless thoughts can then transform into a restless body and nervous system.
meditation provides space for less stimulation to the mind. transcending you into a space to turn a restless body more calm and sympathetic nervous system into a parasympathetic nervous system. in a sympathetic nervous system, that’s where the magic happens. our bodies have space and time to rest, digest, and heal, as well as have the mind become more aware, clear and refocused.
